Everyone reading this article must be thinking, it is very bold of CupidCare team to give such a statement. But CupidCare team says” People hesitate to talk about sexual health since it is a taboo. We at CupidCare are helping people open up and discuss private matter related to sexual health in a secreted environment, using a digital platform”.

Anu, a 13 year old girl had her first period during her class. She was a topic of discussion among her male classmates. Anu had a real problem. Rahul who is looking to get married, recently found out that his friend is going through a divorce on account of impotency. Rahul has a question if he is sexually fit? All these problems and questions arise because of lack of sexual education.

The next question that comes to your mind must be, who are the founders of this platform. Sriram Varma & Krishna Teja are alumni of BITS Pilani and IIT BHU, who worked in a bay area based healthcare company before starting CupidCare. Sriram and Krishna always wanted to start something of their own in healthcare domain. They scanned the market and found out that everyone is moving to single specialization from multi specialization. For example Apollo Hospitals has a branch only for child healthcare, while Yashoda Hospitals is developing a brand only for cardiology. In this competitive world the young entrepreneurs picked a very niche domain of sexual healthcare.

With just 1 month of launch, CupidCare has served 200 patients out of which 30% are international. They claimed to have website views of more than 40,000 proving that technology is creating new grounds for sexual healthcare.

This umbrella platform allows registered users to consult sexual health experts over online chat and if required on telephone or video. They can also get an on-demand consultation. This platform was appreciated at TiE Smash Up 2016 event, held in Hyderabad and the team won Indian Rupees 20 lakhs.

Sexual medicine is not recognised in Indian, so the awareness of sexual healthcare is minimal. CupidCare carefully handpicked 20 doctors from all around Indian who have strong clinical experience in this field.

Apart from the regular consultation, CupidCare has programs for cyber porn de-addiction that is picking up traction. You can even book diagnostic tests and sexual health packages discreetly. Very soon they are also coming up with packages for pre-marital check-ups & counselling, premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, and menopausal counselling for women. They’re also starting a regional language helpline for people from Tier II and III cities and towns.

Coming to healthcare competitors in this field CupidCare team says,” Unlike others we are specialized in only the niche domain of sexual healthcare and tend to put in all our efforts to be the best”.

Currently with a team of 6 members, CupidCare gets support from Dr. A. Satyanarayana Reddy a senior Sexologist & Gynaecologist and Dr. Rahul Reddy Andrologist on clinical and domain expertise.
