Juno Clinic, an online and offline mental health startup have raised $1.2 Million (Rs 8 Crore) of Pre-Series A funding from well-known serial investors which includes Atul Nishar (Founder of Hexaware Technologies & Aptech Computers), Vikas Khemani (President & CEO, Edelweiss Securities Limited), the family office of Sunita and Neeraj Bhargava (Founder of Zodius Capital) and other prominent investors. The startup aims to raise $5 Million of series funding by 2018.
The Mumbai-based startup was founded in early 2016 by Davesh Manocha, Anurag Srivastava, Arun Kumar and Dr Vishal Sawant. Juno clinic is an online and offline platform that helps people get online counselling for emotional and psychological problems from the specialised therapists.
Anurag Srivastava co-founder, Juno Clinic said, “We believe that only through the full-stack model, where we employ our medical team, can ensure quality clinical services promise to our customers. We have a top class medical team, which gets further training on important aspects of online counselling.”
According to a study from Lancet Study, In India only 1 out of 10 people with mental health disorder will receive proper medical attention and evidence-based treatment. The psychiatrists and psychologist in the country operate from higher Institutes. Understanding the need, Juno Clinic has aimed to clear the gap by providing both offline and online services which take place through video conference, phone conversation and chat.
Juno Clinic is not an aggregator for the service providers; they hire well reputed senior psychologists and psychiatrist for full time and strictly follow American psychiatry protocols. The startup has the total team of 35 members.
The startup will use the fresh funding to expand in both domestic and international markets online, increase the physical footprint within India and launch new B2B based products offerings that will ensure comprehensive solutions to all mental health problems. Read more about Health Care startups.
