LazyLad is a Gurgaon, Haryana based startup. It is essentially your Neighborhood Market. This startp ensures that all daily needs are delivered Within 90 Minutes. The daily needs include groceries, fruits & veggies, stationery, bakery items, Meat  & Seafood and flowers.

LazyLad is a grocery shopping assistant. It is a Gurgaon, Haryana based startup. It was founded by Ajay Sethi, Paresh Goel and Saurabh Singla in 2014. It is a simple-to-use mobile application which provides to users the convenience of doorstep delivery of items of daily need. These daily needs are sourced from local and trusted sellers. a technological platform to local grocers, fruit and vegetable sellers, bakers, stationers, book sellers, florists, and other retailers.

LazyLad was in news recently due to its big shutdown. But the startup’s Co-founder, Saurabh Singla dismissed all the rumuors of LazyLad’s closure.He said “We are not shutting down. We had commitments for our hyper local model for Series A round, but yes it didn’t go as planned as the grocery market really crashed.”

LazyLad had just pivoted its business model from B2C to B2B. This startup enables the retailers to expand their outreach and hence, business. Its mission is to bring the neighborhood shopping experience at the users’ fingertips. They are providing users with the technology to solve the chronic problems of inventory and supply chain management. Lazy Lad guarantees you free home delivery within 90 minutes.

This company was also in news for various fundings it raised since its setup in 2014. It raised $500K from a consortium of angels, including Japan-based Kiyohiro Sugashita, Jai Choi (Silicon Valley-based VC) and Hirokazu. The Gurgaon-based company had earlier secured $100K from GHV accelerator in early May 2015. It was the first startup to be accelerated at GHV accelerator programme. Company uses funds to expand their business model in various cities of India and countries around the world. Their expansion plan includes launching their startup in Indonesia, Singapore, and other developing Asian countries.

Since the setup, the platform claims to process 1,200 orders a day. The company also claims to have 36K orders a month from selective sectors of Gurgaon and Chandigarh. This consumer-service industry brings everything at your doorsteps in just 4 clicks and that too at pre bargained prices.

And again – Its not shutting down !!
