Hyper-Local Delivery startup Scootsy raises Pre-Series A funding

On-Demand delivering startup Scootsy wins Pre-series A funding of $3.6 Million (Rs 23 Crore) in their latest round of funding. The funding round was led by Bangalore-based Agnus Capital and Khattar Holdings. AntFarm, the incubator of Scootsy’s , has also participated in this investment round.

The Mumbai-Based startup was founded by former Burrp COO Sandeep Das and Rishi Khiani. Scootsy is the speediest delivery service for just about everything – from food to gifts, to clothes and essentials. The users can order online on their phone or through our app and pay cash on delivery.

Commenting on the startup, Rishi Kahiani from Scoots, said: “For Scootsy Express, we have already partnered with several MNCs and corporates, where we are the preferred partner for anything that the office needs to be delivered. We are getting the food within 20-25 minutes. The last mile will happen close to office; these could be brands like Candies and The Bohri Kitchen. This is for lunch time and mid-evening where people want things quicker.”

The startup services are operational only in Mumbai and claims to have the customer base of 200,000. They deliver a wide variety of products, such as food, fashion apparel and accessories, home décor, skin care, gifts, toys, books, and more. The team claims to have an average order size of Rs 900.

Scootsy food delivery contributes 60% of their business as they have partnered with premium restaurants in the city and other came from services like the flower delivery, gifting etc. Recently it tied up with on-demand food delivery app Areo by Google.

Recently, Other Hyper-delivery startups from Genie have shut their operations due to lacks of funds.

Scootsy has onboard brands like Sugar Rush, MamaZ, Bono Ice Cream and Bawi Bride. The platform accesses with a wider customer base and a highly monetizable sales and distribution channel.
