Boogybee is an e-commerce / logistic service provider who help freelance online sellers on their shipping fulfilment. Boogybee does this at an affordable price ranging from 250 per month that is 10 % of what current service providers’ offer. Shipping rates that Boogybee provide are with minimum documentation of their business proofs and on mutual agreements. Boogybee also has its runner Boys service in Chennai which helps the Chennai customers to deliver their product at cheapest delivery / COD rate in intercity deliveries.
This service is going to expand in Hyderabad and Bangalore on its first milestone, where the shipment passing through these metros rates will be provided at the cheapest rate in the market for Boogybee subscribers.
Vasanth Raj was working as an analyst in amazon.com, he decided to quit his job and started his entrepreneurial life in 2015 with his first startup called E NORMS. This is an online academic book reselling platform. He was approached by one Divya Karthikeyan, who has invested in a tech Start-up and was associated with a food service industry called Doctor’s grill as a partner. When he pitched this idea of Boogybee to Divya, he discovered a co-founder and an investor.
Market Place Transport Woes
A huge number of freelance online sellers in the market do their business for their secondary and primary income. These sellers charge INR 150 to 250 for shipping products. On a detailed survey it was found that these freelancers used the regular courier services for their shipment requirements.
To subscribe with any such logistics, they have certain terms & conditions which are compatible with established business. But these are too farfetched for small and medium scales business e.g.: minimum billing of 10,000 per month. There are service providers who incorporate with courier companies and provide logistic support, but the subscription cost was again a challenging factor. A small firm cannot afford anything as such. This makes no value for their small business size. A detailed analysis of the same gave birth to the logistics solutions with e-commerce storefront and group shipping, Boogybee.
Boogybee has started its operation in APRIL 2016 and claims to have generated revenue of 0.12 million on its first-month closing. The pricing for their services is pretty apt when we see that they are charging about INR 499(economic) to 3999(executive).
BoogyBee is also working on its storefront, which will let the user interact with the seller for online negotiations. This gives the satisfaction of getting the product after bargain at the best price. Boogybee is also about to start its food passing service in JUNE 2016 called foodpassers.com with the idea of letting the people taste the food prepared by their loved ones. The first stage of investment of this operation is to expand in more cities by drawing board stage.
