Betaout helps entrepreneurs with all the information they need to run their venture
At the moment it is identified that relationship management, data visualization, and marketing to be one of the sectors with the largest opportunities, Betaout has put its strong foot forward by offering Software as a Service (SaaS) for eCommerce firms. Right now, India has over 500 SaaS start-ups with a revenue of $600 million and is expected that Indian SaaS companies are expected to reach $10 billion revenue mark in 2025, according to a survey by Google and Accel Partners.
Based out of Noida, Betaout was founded by Mayank Dhingra, Raghubir Thakur, Arjun Maheshwari, Nandini Rathi, along with Ankit Maheshwari. The platform is basically a SaaS-based offering for B2C/E-commerce companies, providing customers:
- Real time big-data analysis.
- Segmentation based on business rules and machine learning.
- Omni-channel personalization, reaching customers with personalized marketing via push, email, SMS.
- Re-targeting, in-app, in-web, etc.
In short, the start-up allows e-commerce firms to create user intelligence databases and offers tools to engage with users through email, on-site engagement, mobile push, live-chat, SMS etc. It is an all-in-one e-commerce and B2C marketing software platform which provides e-commerce companies to make conversions and customize user engagement using real time user personal and intent information.
To be specific, this platform helps the e-Commerce firms to increase sales, to build brand affinity, to retain their customers, to increase customer lifetime value, and ability to do all this efficiently and quickly. Interestingly, its revenue model is based on a monthly recurring subscription that is determined by the number of addressable contacts and messages sent.
Betaout’s growth has been significant. Starting out in October 2014 as a customer intelligence and marketing automation platform for E-commerce, it has raised a whopping $1.5 million in pre-Series A funding led by Beenext, Stanford Angels, Letsventure, Chennai Angels, Hyderabad Angels, and Mumbai Angels. The response from the investors’ side was huge towards Betaout. Since officially launching its marketing platform to public in April 2015, Betaout has experienced double-digit monthly revenue growth and is serving handful of the biggest eCommerce companies in South-East Asia.

With this funding, Betaout is looking to expand in Asia and to create an image in the Indian market. They will also be used to hire professionals in the fields of technology, marketing, and account management. Its focus is also on developing its mobile services, and other features on its platform such as machine learning, conversation-commerce, etc. – as revealed by Ankit Maheshwari, the CEO.
