Organic Farmers Co. is a collaboration of nutritious living and sustainable development. Organic Farmers Co. started with a simple idea, which is to help people eat better while keeping quinoa’s superfood benefits at the basis and core of our innovation and research. We prefer handcrafted and artisanal over mass-produced and factory made, fair trade over fast fads, organic over synthetics.
Our team has spent the last few years immersed in learning the health foods industry and is committed to creating community, living sustainably and inspiring customers to have the highest standard in food products. Our customers enjoy the opportunity to buy foods that follow the highest benchmarks of fair-trade tradition, all the while using maximum hand processes to sustain livelihoods in villages of Rajasthan; thereby creating a support system and alternate income for farmer’s families.
All of our crops are currently cultivated in the state of Rajasthan, specifically the areas of Chomu, Jaisalmer, Bikaner & Hanumangarh; where although water is scarce, the soil is rich with minerals and untouched for the most part. The sun and moon provide the rays required for natural photosynthesis. Hydration for our crops is provided by the clouds, harvested ground water and the Indira Gandhi Canal, which brings water to some of the most arid regions of the desert state. The Quinoa crop is a boon for the farmers in these drought prone conditions as the crop does not require any water for the first 45 days of cultivation.
We are continuously exploring innovative ways of farming to maximize nutrition and minimize environmental impact in all our processes. We are also experimenting with alternative super-grains in our R&D farms in Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar & Bhutan.
