First time experience with Tata CLiQ app

As you know one of the biggest business houses in India, TATA entered the e-commerce space with an intelligent platform called CLiQ. The platform is user friendly. To make users download and use the app/website TATA had a promotional offer of RS 500 off on any items bought upto 28th May 2016. A large conglomerate like TATA Group has enough funds to come up with a “better than the best“ platform and they are only looking for profitability through this e-commerce arm.

TATA Group has a strong brand name and unlike other e-commerce platforms they do not need to depend on discounts to generate revenue. TATA also has apparel and electronic stores around India so they do not need a warehouse for the product storage. Their service of delivery or pickup from store is similar to WallMart in USA. CliQ will help them tap into the middle class retail segment. I believe in TATAs since JRD TATA started expanding business in India. Listening to this news and a 500 rupees discount coupon I quickly downloaded the app and decided to buy a product. Couple of observations

  • The 500 rupees off discount coupon (Promo code CLIQ500) did not work for me on May 28th. When I entered the coupon I got a message saying “Expired Code”.

My order summary

  • The mobile app has couple of glitches like you see below. You cannot view your orders, available coupons and transaction history. There are some bugs that need to be fixed

  • The look and feel of the app is good. I could easily browse through various products, and categories made it much simpler to discover them.
  • The mobile app and web definitely read my mind when it comes to arranging products.
  • The brand TATA speaks for itself. All the products seem to look genuine and even though the promo code did not work for me, I am sure the ordered product (ordered a juicer) will be of good quality.

One feedback I want to give, if more than “couple of millions” are spent on an intelligent platform, make sure that the production level mobile app has no bugs. Bugs and invalid promo codes pave way for competitors like Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal to get a stronger grip on existing market share. On the whole the TATA CliQ is a good store like Westside and Croma and I hope it delivers the experience that was promised.

    they don’t care for customers when called on their toll free number 1800 208 8282
    i emailed them but very poor response
    i ordered with them and given assure they will delivery in 4 days but it took them nearly 2 weeks
    i recommend but from else where but not from here

    Worst service. Despatched low priced different model than the ordered item. Poor customer service. No reply to mails or unjustified call responses. Saying new venture so takes time. No co-ordination between mail dept and customer service. Std reply from customer service that they dont have access to mails. While mail dept sends automated response mails that they will get back within 4 hours but no one has contacted after 4 days also.

    Awesome disgraceful Customer Service to Awesome Customer (as addressed by them in mails).

    Such services will bring disrepute to well established TATA group

    I was thinking to buy some products for their amazing discounts but thank god for the above horrible experienced comments I aware about the company and decided to never buy anything from TATA CLIQ in future. Thanks friends for sharing you valuable experience.

    cheap site cheap product cheap quality but price are too high like they sell brands .. all they just cheat everyone … if not trust on me buy from them and then see what you get my personal experience .. tata cliq cheat people ..

    I’ve ordered Fitness belt 40 Day ago
    Got Different from ordered.
    Called for Refund as below times
    39 Email = No Replay till date
    27 Chat = We’re will get back to you in 48 hours Till same replay
    Refund = No status very very bad support

    Fraud company Tatacliq don’t buy any products from them they are scammers.

    Pathetic services a lot of glitch and a big shame for Tata , their customer care services are horrific , unprofessional staff , they commit to revert back by 4 hours and reply after two days and if commit to revert at 24hr reply after 5-6 days and still no solutions and blames customer instead.
    I have purchased canon camera(no problem with product ) and I am in complete loss with their payment flaws and after service ,no solutions more than a month.

    Never ever saw worst level of customer care services in my lifetime.

    I have for the first time used Tata Cliq but even after 10 days have not received the product. Chat/Call nothing works.Only good thing I choose to pay cash on delivery.PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM TATA CLIQ

    A money has been deducted from my account for the product ordered but there are no items in my carton and inspite registration, there are no records with tataclick. It didnt even send me receipt of it, no mail nothing. Web page just disappeared after making the payment.

    Call centres are keeping your call for wait wait n wait only

    I was foolish enough to order from Tata Cliq without looking at feedback because I stupidly trusted the Tata name. Ordered 2 pairs of Bata shoes which did not fit so asked for a return pick up. The pick up guy turned up on 25 Sep without contacting me and I was not at home. I phoned him and asked him to come a day later- he never came. Phoned up customer care and gave them the dates when I would be available and they promised to arrange for the pick up. This was on the 28th Sep. Nothing happened. Yesterday 12 Oct they first fapped about Festival etc, then the rep. Santosh by name puts me on hold then comes back and then tells me the team told him that they do not service my pincode and I will have to send the item back. I lost it and gave him a dose and then told him to connect me to a supervisor. He put me on hold and never came back. Made several calls to them, no reponse, I was on hold and had to listen to a stupid, irritating tune extolling their non existent virtues. The worst part is that I was stupid enough to have paid by card beforehand. Is the company not interested in reading feedback and salvaging their reputation ?

      Sorry brother its a hard comment but the reality is you’ll never get your money back. I ordered a saree from them in august and returned the saree in august , today is 1 november and i have nt received my refund

    ordered a phone almost 11 days ago
    wanted to gift to family thanks to TATA FEELINGS WASTED.
    TRACKING SHOWS MY PHONE TRAVELED ALMOST ALL OVER INDIA BUT NOT ON MY ADDRESS.
    CC says sorry on phone in actual i am feeling sorry to order from tata cliq
    if this is there pre sales than there after sales must ironically wasted .
    thanks TATA by making me aware on my first order from you.

    Worst customer service. Tata Brand, but poor customer service is not unusual from the group.
    Delivered defective product on 28.10.2016. Return ticket no: 4000262000 created on 29.10.2016. Till today, after many call to call center, many mails which had standard or automated responses and after promises of “action within 24 hours and personally looking into it” from supervisors at customer-care, the defective tablet PC is still lying with me and my Rs 4999 is still with Tata Cliq. No complaint escalation mechanism available at their website.

    Pathetic and nearly-criminal behaviour.

    Worst e commerce site ever.purchased a fitness band which arrived late but on complaints they took it back the very next day and now it’s been four months but the money not refunded yet. Pathetic customer service and frauds they are.called them hundred times and they are least interested in refunding your money. They eat it all up!
