This entrepreneur started an IT startup only to scam students looking for a full time job. PC Technology Pvt Ltd is a bogus company that takes Rs 25,000/- for a 3 month training program and assures full time job placement with partial refund. Don’t fall for this trap, this turned out to be a big scam where the director of this company vanished with more than 1.6 crores according to a media report.
Approximately 600 such recruits in Mumbai and thousands in seven cities have been conned in the job scam by this IT Startup. Similarly students in Bengaluru have claimed that the director has vanished with RS 25000 of 500 employees as well as their original certificates from each of the 500 recruits. The firm has opened its branch in Ashar IT Park in Thane as well as Novel Business Park in Adugodi, Bengaluru this year, while having a registered office at Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The website is down but Google shows results of PC Technology.
The scam came to light when employees returned back to work after a long holiday of Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan, found the office sealed. A case for cheating has been registered at the Wagle Estate Police Station against the CEO’S Chaya Singh, Yashraj Singh and Pankaj Kumar.
Mumbai, Bengaluru has come out with this scam, but other cities are still in trouble. These fraudsters can change the company name and city to repeat this. In a way students are pruned to get scammed because of their need to get a full time job. Engineering colleges in India are putting more than 1.5 million engineers in the industry every year, but there are not enough jobs available. Students then try to join institutes or startups like these to stand out of their batch. I strongly suggest everyone to believe in themselves in terms of getting a job through campus or walkins. To some extend job consultancies who take money in return for getting you a job also have an opportunity to scam you. Beware! [Read more about startup scam]
