Sasikala Natarajan has found guilty for the 21-year-old Disproportionate Assets (DA) case against her and has been jailed for 4-years by Supreme Court on Tuesday. Miss. Sasikala is to be served in jail for 4-years. This ends her high-decibel and divisive bid to be Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Below are the Sentences which are issued by Supreme Court for VK Sasikala:
- She will serve 3 years and 3 months in jail.
- She will be charged Rs.10 Crore as a penalty for her violations.
- She will never be able to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and cannot participate in any elections for next 10 year.
- With the help of Late J. Jayalalithaa legacy, she can serve AIADMK party after serving her jail sentence.

As now Sasikala is behind the bars, the road for the Chief Minister position in Tamil Nadu are now cleared for her competitor Mr. O.Paneerselvam. He has now support of 9 state lawmakers and 12 Parliaments. He has selected 3 times by Amma by to stand-in for her as Chief Minister when she was forced to take a breather on corruption charges.
Last night, AIADMK’s South Madurai MLA Saravanan and MP from Madurai R. Gopalakrishnan to extend their support to O Panneerselvam camp. The Panneerselvam supporters have started celebrating expecting a positive turn for the camp after an 8-day political tussle between Sasikala and Panneerselvam.
