Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Roundup, Will it bounce back??

After a devastating disaster of Galaxy Note 7, Samsung is now back with Note Series. The South Korean technology appliance has now announced its latest and greatest smartphone- Galaxy Note 8. This will be the biggest comeback in the history of smartphones.

On Thursday, just a day after sharing the Note 8’s full specs sheet, VentureBeat’s Evan Blass tweeted out a banner featuring the phablet, the new S-Pen and the “Do bigger things” tagline.

Samsung’s upcoming flagship phablet needs to be more than just a big Galaxy S8 with a stylus. Unsurprisingly, Note 8 is an upsized version of the Galaxy S8+ with an even larger display and slightly squared-off corners.

According to all leaks and rumors, below are the Specification of Note 8:

• IP68 water and dust certification, like all recent premium Galaxy smartphones
• Massive 6.3-inch ‘SuperAMOLED’ Infinity Display with minimal bezels
• New 18.5:9 aspect ratio with 1440 x 2960 (2K) native resolution
• Design will be more “squared off” (incl. display corners) compared to Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus
• Device dimensions of 162.5mm x 74.6mm x 8.5mm
• Globally it ships with the Exynos 8895 chipset with exception of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 in the US
• 6GB RAM as standard versus 4GB in Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus (some limited 6GB editions were Asia-only exclusives)
• 64GB of internal storage
• MicroSD expansion slot retained
• Rear dual cameras: 12 megapixel, f/1.7 aperture, dual pixel and 12 megapixel, f/2.4 aperture with 2x optical zoom. Optical image stabilisation on both modules
• Front camera – 8 megapixel, f1.7 aperture
• 3300mAh battery
• Quick Charging and Wireless Charging via USB Type-C
• Midnight Black, Maple Gold, Orchid Grey and Deep Sea Blue color options.

Note 8

The dual-camera feature seems to be the big Galaxy Note 8 feature. This is the first time we are going to see a dual-camera setup in the Samsung phone, and that too in a flagship phone. This is one area where Apple, with its iPhone 7 Plus, OnePlus 5 and LG V30.

The Note 8 will be competing with upcoming smartphones like Apple’s iPhone 8, LG V30, Google Pixel 2. Officially the launch date are announced on, August 23, while it could hit stores starting on September 15. US, UK and Australia are very likely to be in the first wave instead of having to wait until October.

As per the pricing, in Europe, the Galaxy Note 8 will cost 1,000 euros which roughly translates to Rs 75,408. Considering the fact that the Galaxy S8+ already sells for an upwards of Rs 60,000 the Galaxy Note 8 touching the Rs 70,000 price point won’t be surprising.
