Rumors on Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa ‘s Death

Today at 5:00 pm, a half – mast flag was raised at the AIADMK’s office. This raised speculation that Tamil Nadu’s CM Jayalalithaa might have passed away. Some TV channels like the Tanthi TV took the half – mast flag as a sure sign that Dr. J. Jayalalithaa was dead and announced the news of her death in their channel. Many other Tamil and Kannada channels followed suite and had announced that she was dead. The doctors at Apollo hospital however denied the news that she was dead and said that she was in life support.

Ever since their statement there has been utter chaos and confusion in Tamil Nadu about her health. Curiously her party’s office (AIADMK’s office) had raised the flag to full height again at 5:30 pm today. This has added to the confusion over her death. Some people say that she is already dead and that her party is only delaying the news to avoid chaos or is awaiting the arrival of the acting governor, C. Vidyasagar Rao to Chennai before officially announcing the news. Amidst all this confusion, her channel, Jaya TV has not reported anything about her.
