Why PM Modi And Paytm CEO VSS Deserve To Be On TIME’s 100 Most Influential People List 2017

Time Magazine is one of the most famous magazines that is best known for its list of 100 Most Influential People of the year, every year. Last year, this List of 100 Most Influential people included world-famous personalities and out of 100, almost five positions were attained by Indians.

  1. Priyanka Chopra, a renowned actress,
  2. Sunita Narain, an activist,
  3. Raghuram Rajan, Governor of Reserve Bank of India,
  4. Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal co-founders of leading e-commerce site called Flipkart.

This year, our honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narender Modi and CEO of a well-known online payment system, PaytM, Mr. Vijay Shekhar Sharma has made it to this list making India Proud Again.

There are different categories in the 100 Most Influential People and our PM was praised for the leadership qualities he has displayed in order to drive the country and its people on the tracks of Development. On the other hand, Mr. Vijay Shekhar Sharma was praised under the Titans category.

Why Shri Narender Modi?

Surprisingly our Prime Minister was barred from the US and it was then that he used social media to take his voice to the people in masses.  There he promised the people of our country to make India a better place. He assured to remove all the self-serving officials from the country who are working with motives of self-interest. In due course of assuming government Modi initiated lot of changes that moved the county to growth path. His major decisions include Demonetization and Digital India.

Why Mr. Vijay Shekhar Sharma?

For Mr. Vijay Shekhar Sharma, it is spoken that when the Prime Minister banned currency notes of Rs.500 and Rs.1000 on 8th November 2016, Mr. Sharma’s market started expanding.

When Indians were standing in long queues to get money from the ATM machines, Mr. Vijay Shekhar’s Paytm, a digital payment system gave Indians a form of Digital wallet for making payments in real-time. In the beginning of 2016, Paytm had a user base of 122 Million but by the end of the year, these numbers rose up to 177 Million users. His success story has influenced many aspiring entrepreneurs and shall continue to do so in the coming years.

Both of these Indians Gems are very valuable to the country and have inspired and influenced many lives. The Payment system has changed immensely and so has the way the Indian government works.
