The leading stock exchange of India, National Stock Exchange (NSE) is all set to add 16 new companies to its Futures and Options (F&O) segment that will come into effect from April 28. The list of stocks to be added includes: NBCC India, Berger Paints, Can Fin Homes, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company, Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals (GSFC), Nestle India, Godfrey Phillips India, Bajaj Finserv, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals (MRPL), Balrampur Chini Mills, Raymond, Balkrishna Industries and V- Guard Industries.
All these 16 firms will be available on NSE for trading in the Futures and Options segment, from April 28 onwards. More than 200 stocks are already available for trading on NSE in the F&O segment.
Among all these newly added industries, Bajaj Finserv has the highest market capitalization of Rs 69,068 crores. Bajaj Finserv is a part of Bajaj Holdings & Investments Limited and an Indian financial services sector company whose main focus is in lending, asset management, wealth management and insurance. Apart from this, the Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd. has the lower market capitalization of Rs 3571 crore. Balrampur is one of the largest integrated sugar manufacturing companies in India. It’s allied business consists of manufacturing and marketing of Ethyl Alcohol & Ethanol, generation, and selling of power. The company has 10 sugar factories located in U.P. having an aggregate crushing capacity of 76,500 tons per day.
Currently, in the Futures and Options segment of NSE, the trading is available in NIFTY 50 Index, NIFTY IT index, NIFTY Bank Index, NIFTY Next 50 index and single stock futures. In addition to this, the NSE also offers trading in Mini Nifty Futures & Options and Long-term Options on NIFTY 50. The average daily turnover in the F&O Segment of the Exchange during the financial year April 2015 to August 2016 stood at ₹307,609 Crore.
The NSE also offers trading in equities, indices, mutual funds, equity derivatives, exchange traded funds and many other segments.
“The market lot, scheme of strikes and quantity freeze limit of the above mentioned securities shall be informed to members on April 27, 2017, through a separate circular,” the exchange said.
