After an intense research of the construction material market and its ways, Shashank Chintapenta, co-founder and Rajesh Pagadala, founder who comes from the construction industry background, came up with the idea of BuildersMART. Shashank is a MBA Graduate and former co-founder of Autohona.

It was started in the November of last year but has been operational for three months now and is based in Hyderabad. The very obvious challenge of tying up with reputed brands of manufacturers was overcome by promising a haggle-free payment of the products sold in a time of 3-4 days.

Although most manufacturers prefer to stick to the traditional methods of delivering materials on a credit basis and then dealing with the ever persistent issue of late payment from builders or contractors, BuildersMART eliminated the burden of payment issues from the manufacturers’ shoulders. This meant simply delivering and receiving payment within a stipulated time frame without fail for the manufacturers.

Like any online shopping portal such as Flipkart or Amazon, BuildersMART functions. Acting as an online procurement services platform for construction materials, any builder or contractor can create an account with the organization. The startup has tied up with many top brands such as Bharthi Cement, Dulux Paints, Parryware, Roca and the list goes on.

The products that can be purchased are cement, TMT steel, Bricks and Blocks, Electricals , Plumbing Materials, Wooden products, Tiles ( with all the varieties and collections) Bathroom Accessories, Hardware and Fixtures, Paints and Finishes and lighting products.  Discounts on every product exist further offering better economical prices to the buyers. The mart gives a detailed description of the product and its specifications. Builders placing huge orders are presented by samples by the manufacturers depending on the volume of the order.  Payments can be done online through Net Banking or Credit card and Cash on delivery option also exists.
