This Indian Startup led by 17-year old student makes to UN’s Top-50 list

Tyrelessly, a green revolution startup which is led by 17-year-old school going boy, Anubhav Wadhwa, has made it to the first edition of the Youth Solutions report of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN).

The youth solution network is United Nation’s program that will showcase work done by younger people across the world and help them to draw opportunities from potential supporters. Tyrelessly got selected In the first 50 edition by UN.

Anubhav Wadhwa got the idea when he was returning home from his class and people were burning tyres to produce heat. He saw lots of smoke coming out of the tires. Then he got to learn about the toxic gas released by burning the tires which are harmful to the environment. He said “Seeing someone set tyres on fire got me thinking. The idea led to setting up of Tyrelessly. To avoid the environmental hazard, we set up an end-of-life tyre aggregator, working through an efficient platform.”

Anubhav Wadhwa, born on 21 March 1999, is a Gurugram residence and the student of Pathways World School, Aravali, Haryana. He is also a member of student’s council. After he returns to home at 5 PM he instantly becomes an entrepreneur, designer, big data analyst and computer programmer.

Tyrelessly provides tyres and disposal services that are compliant with end-of-life regulation. The online platform and conscious vehicle owners can follow a few simple steps to have their vehicle’s ‘End-of-Life’ tyres disposed of safely. The startup will notify the customers after the disposal of the tyres.

The startup got selected by an expert advisory panel led by Jeffrey Sachs, an American economist and director at The Earth Institute, Columbia University.

Siamak Sam Loni, the Global Coordinator of SDSN Youth, said: “Youngsters are contributing to sustainable development but they face challenges that prevent them from realising their full potential. These challenges include the lack of visibility, limited access to finance, and the lack of training and technical support.”

Apart from founding this startup, Wadhwa is a CEO and founder of software solutions TechAPTO. He has developed websites for many companies and included among Youngest Indian CEO in 2013. Read more about Indian Startup Ecosystem.
