Ivanka Trump, the daughter of America’s president, Donald Trump, will be visiting the capital city of Telangana, Hyderabad, tomorrow (28/11/2017) to inaugurate the eighth Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) being held there at the same day. This entrepreneurship summit will especially focus on developing women entrepreneurs across the globe. India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, along with Ivanka Trump will inaugurate the three – day GES summit held at Hyderabad. The theme for this GES is ‘Women First, Prosperity for All’. The summit will be held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) in Hi Tech City. The summit will bring together 1,500 entrepreneurs from 150 countries for training and mentoring sessions as well as for networking and investment matchmaking sessions. This GES is organized by NITI Aayog in partnership with the US State Department and other American agencies. This GES will focus on developing startups belonging to these four sectors across the globe namely: healthcare and life sciences, digital economy and financial technology, energy and infrastructure and media and entertainment. Four hundred delegates each from India and the US along with other delegates from across the globe will participate in this summit. Among the number of participating delegates, 52.5% are women, the highest so far in GES’s history.
Ivanka Trump will be speaking in the summit on behalf of the US delegation. She will speak on the GES’s current theme which is, ‘Women First, Prosperity for All’. Over a hundred innovative start-ups, products, services and processes will be exhibited through a multi-touch interactive wall, sensor-enabled touch screens, rotoscope mural technology and physical displays. The event consists of breakout sessions, master classes, workshops and Q&A rounds to enhance interaction with the participants.
Apart from attending the 8th GES, Ivanka Trump also will also spend her leisure time by dining with PM, Narendra Modi at Falaknuma Palace in a 101 – seater dining table! Falaknuma Palace was the residing place of the Nizams who ruled the city of Hyderabad and parts of modern-day Telangana during the eighteenth and nineteenth century. Ivanka Trump will also visit the historical monument of Charminar located three kilometers away from Falaknuma palace. Ivanka Trump will also go shopping at Laadbazar, the marketplace famous for bangles and bridal wear in Hyderabad. Despite her tight schedule, Ivanka Trump may also visit the historic monuments such as Makkah Masjid and Chowmohalla Palace which happen to be nearby Charminar. Read more on Startup News
