BHIM a UPI based payment app launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the now the most downloaded app on google playstore now. It is currently ranked NO 1 Over throwing whatsapp, faceebook and JIO.
Just 3 days after launch BHIM app reached this milestone with downloads between 1,000,000 – 5,000,000.
Apart from this most users gave a positive review with average rating of 4.1 stars. If the same download trends continue there is a good chance that BHIM become a top Peer to Peer payment app in India. Threat looms big for companies like PAYTM, MOBIKWIK and FREECHARGE who were enjoying unexpected growth post demonetization.
App which is developed by National payment corporation of India is expected to add more banks apart from including utilities and other regularly used options.
